Since Fockstrot's excellent first few EPs, I've been wary of checking out other works by him. However, I gave TDIT a listen and that wariness is somewhat eased. Not the most auspicious opener, Florida is just a little too derivative and... bland for my liking, though the cutesy lofi aesthetic gives it some charm. The next 4 tracks are him in his element. Closer to that folk sound I love. Then it dies on me again. A couple more good tracks, but I'd rather not talk about the ending tracks.
This is alright. Nothing more. Something I would revisit but with some sadness/irritation that it doesn't live up to earlier works, and the electronic sections are painful.
